How to recycle used coffee?

Did you know that used coffee grounds don’t need to be thrown away but can be recycled? There are many different ways to reuse the old coffee. Here are few tips for that…

* You can use coffee to scrub grease off hands, dishes and pots alike.

* You can compost coffee grounds or add them to worm beds in case you raise earthworms.

* Ants don’t like coffee, so you can use coffee to keep them away from you plants or out of your rooms. Just put the used coffee grounds around the plants or on the ant tracks in your house.

* Coffee grounds can be used to get the onion or garlic odors off from your hands.

* If your furniture has some scratches, you can use steeped ground and cotton swabs to touch them up.

* You can make liquid fertilizer from the old coffee grounds. For that, keep them the water for 1-2 days and then use the resulting liquid.

* Use can also use the ground for fertilizing by mixing them with soil. Most plants like it, because of the nutrient content – nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium and sulfur.

* Dryed grounds can be used as odor absorbent in cupboards and refrigerators. Place it there in an old stocking or some container. Be sure the grounds are properly dried first, otherwise they will start to mold..

As you can see, used coffee grounds can actually be very useful.
